On Xiupu Road in Zhangjiang Science City, Pudong — a site of nearly 6.7 hectares with CNY 2.5 billion investment, listed in the 2025 Shanghai major construction plan. The project builds the world's first industrial-scale second-generation high-temperature superconductor (2G HTS) tape production and R&D base, hosting production, product R&D, production-line R&D and application R&D. Planned annual capacity after ramp-up: at least 15,000 km — an absolute global lead in its segment. It is also Zhangjiang's first benchmark project achieving 'construction starts upon land acquisition, certificate upon land handover'.
