BIM从业者需关注:2026年8月多项工程建设标准集中落地

For BIM practitioners, standard documents are not consulted frequently in daily work, but their role as an authoritative reference is irreplaceable at key milestones such as project submission for review, completion acceptance and tendering. Around August 2026, a batch of national and local standards directly relevant to BIM applications was released or entered the public-comment stage, and warrants close attention.

Recent Standards Updates

Over the past half month, the following standard documents have made key progress:

Shaanxi Province approved and released 23 local engineering construction standards, effective from August 22, 2026. Among them, the Technical Standard for Whole-Process Digital Construction of Building Engineering shifts digital requirements from principle-level guidance to auditable specific clauses, covering data management across the full lifecycle of design, construction and operation & maintenance.

In Guangdong Province, the draft for comments of the Technical Standard for Framed Steel-Structure Modular Buildings was released, with the comment deadline on August 20, 2026. The standard explicitly requires BIM technology to be adapted across the entire process, filling the standards gap on dedicated acceptance for modular buildings. Meanwhile, the local standard Evaluation Standard for Prefabricated Buildings (No. DB44/T 2861—2026) officially came into force on August 20, 2026, adjusting the calculation methodology for the prefabrication rate.

On the association-standard front, the draft for comments of the Technical Specification for Green Building Construction Management Based on BIM was released, with a deadline of August 22, 2026, aiming to promote the alignment of BIM models with carbon-emission statistics.

At the national level, the Unified Coding System for Housing Buildings (Jian Ban [2026] No. 32), jointly issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) and the National Data Administration, formally incorporates BIM model delivery standards and technical review requirements into the institutional framework.

Analysis of Core Changes

The common thread across the above standards is that the focus has shifted from “whether to adopt BIM” to “at which stage the model is delivered, to what level of detail, and to which review stage it is submitted.” The trend toward finer-grained rules is evident, and delivery approaches based on basic model reconstruction will face higher requirements.

Judging from the release cadence and coverage, smart construction is transitioning from pilot demonstrations to mandatory implementation. Shaanxi and Guangdong are advancing in parallel and writing BIM requirements into binding clauses; the implementation pace is worth watching.

Notes on Channels for Obtaining the Standards

We recommend obtaining the full text of the standards through the following official channels:

National Public Service Platform for Standards Information and provincial/municipal standards libraries: implementation status and full text of national, industry and local standards can be queried.

Official websites of provincial-level housing and urban-rural development departments“Standards Announcements” section: for example, the 23 standards approved by Shaanxi Province can be downloaded free of charge as full-text PDFs from the official website.

Official websites of the associations administering association standards: for example, the Technical Specification for Green Building Construction Management Based on BIM can be consulted on the website of the China International Engineering Consulting Association.

Notes: Draft-for-comments versions may differ from officially released versions; official projects should refer to the released version. In addition, local standards generally apply only within the administrative region of the issuing province, and their scope of application must be verified before cross-regional reference.

Zhuwei Architectural Technology is a new-type technical services company specializing in integrated design optimization, BIM consulting and prefabricated construction design consulting. Our team brings together senior engineers from leading design institutes, former executives of real-estate companies, BIM engineers and prefabrication engineers, delivering integrated design optimization, refined drawing review, BIM consulting with MEP detailing, and prefabricated design services.

Design optimization consulting: Positioned as an extension and complement to the design management of real-estate developers, we focus on consulting and optimization for civil buildings. Across the whole process — or at key stages required by the client — we control the economy, rationality and safety of the design, eliminating unnecessary cost while measurably improving drawing quality, achieving "lower cost, higher efficiency".

BIM consulting: Through digital construction technology we help designers reduce errors and improve quality in the design phase, help contractors save cost and plan high-quality MEP installation in the construction phase, and extend BIM models into facility management for the operation phase — in collaboration with mainstream software vendors.

Prefabricated design consulting: Whole-process design on BIM platforms, using Revit and Tekla for PC detailing. Component geometry and reinforcement are linked parametrically — what you see is what you get. We deliver Industry 4.0-ready drawings with cut-length data for every rebar, and IoT-enabled support for production, storage, transport and installation of PC components.

Our expert team comes from leading design institutes, with deep technical grounding and extensive experience in dual-track design and optimization; its technical capability and control are industry-leading.
