Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the 2025 Compilation Plan for Engineering Construction Standards.In the annual plan released this time, 5 national standards and 2 industry standards related to Building Information Modeling (BIM) have been formally included in the revision tasks.
The national standards are:
Unified Standard for Building Information Model Application GB/T51212-2016, drafted/undertaken by China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. and others;
Standard for Construction Application of Building Information Model GB/T51235-2017, drafted/undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited and others;
Standard for Classification and Coding of Building Information Model GB/T51269-2017, drafted/undertaken by China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research Co., Ltd. and others;
Standard for Design Delivery of Building Information Model GB/T51301-2018, drafted/undertaken by China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research Co., Ltd. and others;
Standard for Storage of Building Information Model GB/T51447-2021, drafted/undertaken by China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. and others;
The industry standards are:
Standard for Drawing of Building Engineering Design Information Model JGJ/T 448-2018, drafted/undertaken by China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research Co., Ltd. and others;
Basic Data Standard for Building Product Information System JGJ/T236-2011, drafted/undertaken by China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research Co., Ltd. and others.
This revision is a systematic summary and optimization of the implementation and application practice of existing BIM standards, against the backdrop of the engineering construction industry accelerating digital transformation and promoting smart construction.
