Centered on the themes of innovation and whole-process application and focused on project applications, this report systematically analyzes and summarizes the city'sBIMtechnology application achievements, as well as the models and experience of integrating it with project management. It reflects the integrated application of BIM technology across the full life cycle of engineering projects and highlights the deep integration of BIM technology with megacity governance. This year's report places particular emphasis on the four highlights of BIM technology application in Shanghai: a more complete standards system for BIM technology application under government guidance; BIM empowering smart construction to support the high-quality development of the construction industry; BIM-based smart O&M supporting refined urban management; and the owner-led BIM application model gradually becoming mainstream.

          

The report comprises four chapters and an appendix. Chapter 1 briefly reviews BIM technology application and development at home and abroad, covering BIM promotion plans, standard-setting, application value, typical cases, research hotspots, and talent development. Chapter 2 systematically analyzes the current state of BIM technology application in Shanghai, focusing on the policy environment and promotion of BIM technology application in the city, as well as whole-life-cycle integrated BIM application and management. Chapter 3 provides an in-depth analysis of the overall development of BIM technology application in Shanghai, summarizing the experience of integrating BIM technology in key regions and major projects, smart construction, and green buildings, and its synergy with other digital technologies. Chapter 4, based on the tasks and requirements of Shanghai's 14th Five-Year Plan for digital economy development and the digital transformation of new town construction, presents an outlook for BIM technology application in Shanghai, analyzing development trends as well as the opportunities and challenges ahead, and proposing priorities for the next stage. The appendix includes the list of winners of the 5th Shanghai BIM Technology Application Innovation Competition and a selection of award-winning project cases.    

          

This report strives to reflect, in a comprehensive, systematic, and objective manner, the current state of BIM technology application and promotion in Shanghai, and to propose directions for future action, fully embodying an international vision, national leadership, and Shanghai characteristics, and providing a basis and reference for industry development and government decision-making. The drafting organizations conducted thorough research and analysis of the latest developments in BIM technology application at home and abroad, and provided a detailed summary of BIM technology application and development in Shanghai.
