　　To thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, accelerate the building of a modern construction industry system, and actively integrate into and serve the new development paradigm, in October 2022 the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development selected 24 cities including Beijing to carry out smart construction pilots, using scientific and technological innovation to drive the transformation and development of the construction industry, improving project quality and reducing costs, and better leveraging the construction industry's role as an important pillar for stabilizing growth and expanding domestic demand.

To strengthen exchange and learning among the pilot cities and to publicize and promote replicable experiences and practices, under the guidance of the Department of Construction Market Regulation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry's Center of Science and Technology and Industrialization Development has launched this special report series, providing detailed introductions to the pilot plans, advanced experiences, and typical cases of selected cities. We hope it will provide a useful reference for localities developing smart construction and promoting the industrialized, digital, and green transformation of the construction industry.
